When direct booking makes sense — an honest guide

Direct booking is not for everyone, and HemmaBo does not bring guests — it is infrastructure on the host's own domain (calendar, Stripe payments, guest tools) plus VRP · Ed25519 so price and availability can be verified on the domain by guests and AI agents. Compatible agents can discover a host domain, verify a signed stay offer, and send the guest to that domain to book. It fits hosts with returning guests or existing visibility who want to own the relationship and a verifiable source of truth; it fits less when a host is brand new with no flow or only wants maximum short-term exposure. HemmaBo is a reference implementation of the Vacation Rental Protocol — not an OTA, not a traffic source, with no per-booking commission.
